Stimuloton is a drug which acts on the central nervous system (an antidepressant) and it is used for the treatment of depression, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, social phobia (social anxiety disorder), and PTSD- and post-traumatic stress disorders. Stimuloton is also used for the treatment of depression and prevention of recurrence or development of new episodes of depression.
It belongs to the class of so-called specific inhibitors of serotonin reuptake.
Each tablet film coated, drug Stimuloton contains 50 or 100 mg of active substance sertraline in the form of sertraline hydrochloride. The coated tablets also contain auxiliary substances: magnesium stearate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, sodium chromalveolata (type a), calcium hydrophosphate dehydrate, microcrystalline cellulose. Shell tablet contains: hypromellose, macrogol, titanium dioxide.
How to use:
Always take pills Stimuloton in accordance with physician orders. If you have any questions contact your doctor or pharmacist.
The daily dose of the drug Stimuloton, taken orally once daily at the same time, morning or evening. Tablet should be swallowed whole, with a sufficient quantity of liquid.
Do not stop or interrupt the admission of the drug Stimuloton yourself, even if you are feeling better! This can cause a relapse.
In recommended doses, the drug is usually well tolerated. However, as with other designer drugs, may cause side effects. In the manifestation of severe side effects or effects not mentioned in this manual, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
You should stop taking the drug Stimuloton and immediately contact your doctor if you experience the following symptoms:
signs of an allergic reaction, such that the otek hands, feet, face or tongue, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, hives, fainting;
high temperature in combination with muscle ii, uncontrolled muscle twitching or seizures, confusion or agitation, nausea and vomiting;
the feeling of "good mood", or excessive agitation or irritability (mania or hypomania).
The following side effects are usually expressed little and are to continue taking the drug include drowsiness, dizziness, ejaculation disorders, dry mouth, sweating, tremor, insomnia, decreased libido, nervousness, loss of appetite, diarrhea or loose stools, bloating, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, redness, blurred vision. Sometimes while taking this drug were observed movement disorders, convulsions, disorders of the menstrual cycle, the secretion of breast milk – but the causal relationship of these manifested with taking the drug authenticity is not established.
If these symptoms persist independently or bother you, call your doctor.
Discontinuation of the drug causes in rare cases, withdrawal symptoms.
As in the treatment with other antidepressants, you may experience such symptoms which are difficult to differentiate from symptoms of the underlying disease: aggressive reaction, hallucinations, and sensory impairments.
Call your doctor if you have designer disturbing your thoughts or feelings.
Warning and Precautions:
Do not take Stimuloton
• If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to sertraline or any of the other ingredients of Stimuloton.
• If you take medications such as MAO-inhibitorige (eg moclobemide selezhelin). Treatment with Sgimulogon can begin at least 14 days after discontinuation of selezhelin and vice versa, 14 days prior to taking MAO inhibitor after treatment with Stimuloton. Stimuloton can be applied one day after discontinuation of moclobemide, however, at least 14 days must elapse before taking moclobemide after discontinuation of Stimuloton.
• If you have epilepsy and have frequent seizures despite taking medicine antiepileltichno.
• The drug can not be given to children.
• If you are taking a medicine containing promozid.
Taking Stimuloton with food and drink
The use of alcoholic beverages need to be avoided during treatment with Sgimuloton.
Pregnancy and lactation
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.
Preferably the drug to be avoided during pregnancy, however, it can be used under strict medical supervision and your doctor can prescribe it for you if you believed in your case the expected benefits outweigh the potential risk.
The active ingredient of the drug is excreted in human milk and therefore its use is not recommended during lactation.
